Husband of 38 wives, father of 89 children, head of world’s largest family dies

The head of the world’s largest family, an Indian man, has died. The late Ziona Chana had 38 wives and 89 children, and is said to be the head of the world’s largest family.

According to Indian media, Ziona Chana belonged to the Indian state of Mizoram. He died Sunday at the age of 76.

Mizoram Chief Minister Zoram Thanga announced the death of Ziona Chana on Twitter. He said in his tweet that tourism in Mizoram had increased due to Ziona Chana and her family.

Ziona Chana was the head of a religious sect that encouraged polygamy. More than 400 families are affiliated with the Chana sect.

Born on July 21, 1954, Ziona Chana was first married at the age of 17 to a girl three years her senior, according to Reuters. His family lives in a four-storey house called “Chohan Thar Run” in Mizo Ram Is.

This house has more than 100 rooms. According to the news agency, Ziona Chana’s children and their wives live in separate rooms, while Ziona’s wives live in rooms adjacent to her private bedroom, but everyone uses the same kitchen.

The expenses of such a large family are borne by donations in addition to their own business.
