ISLAMABAD: Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani Thursday announced to promote all the students of 9th, 10th , 11th and 12th class to the next class amid the coronavirus in the province.
Addressing a press conference, the minister said that all the students would be promoted to the next classes without examination. Hundreds of thousands students were waiting for the final policy of the Sindh government.
After meeting with the federal education minister Shafqat Mahmood here on Thursday, Saeed Ghani said that he has suggested the government to give 3 percent additional marks to the students of 10th and 12th class across the board to enhance their total percentage, so that they can get admissions in colleges and universities.
The minister said that meetings would be held with the federal government and in this regard a law has to be passed.
Similarly, we are also discussing the issues of technical colleges. Therefore we have decided to promote all the students in next classes.
“All failed students would be given passing marks and they would also be promoted to the next classes,” Saeed Ghani announced. However, we will have meeting of the education committee to discuss the problems faced by the colleges and universities for the admissions.
On May 11, 2020, the federal education minister had already announced to promote all the students to next classes.
