PIA plane crashes in Model Colony near Karachi Airport
1 min readKARACHI: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane ‘PK-8303, has crashed in Jinnah Garden, Model Colony area near Jinnah international Airports Karachi on Friday. The pilot said to the control room that there was loss of one engine.
The plane crashed on the congested residential areas in Model Colony, in which around 10-15 houses were also destroyed, the sources said.
The plane arrived Karachi from Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore and was trying to land at Karachi Airports but unfortunately its lost one engine, the sources claimed.
Pilot Sajjad Gul was flying this Boeing-320. According to the officials, 30-40 injured were shifted to different Hospitals.
According to the reports, the plane was crashed on residential areas near the Model Colony. Police and ambulances reached the spot while the Police and Rangers take over the areas.
According to the initial information in the Airlines, there were 98 passengers in the plane, while 7-8 staff members including the two pilots were onboard.
There was fire in the plane and there could be a big loss of the airlines and passengers.
