The federal government has arrested 121 suspects of the banned organizations and taken administrative control of more than 450 places being run on its ongoing crackdown against terrorism in the country.

This was confirmed by the Ministry of Interior on Thursday.

The facilities include dispensaries, schools, colleges and madrassahs. The interior ministry said that eight offices of banned outfits have also been taken under the administrative control of the government.

Statistics shared by the interior ministry stated that of these facilities, 163 are dispensaries and 184 ambulances.

A day earlier, the Sindh and Punjab governments sealed and took administrative control of countless mosques, seminaries and welfare institutions run by banned outfit Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) and its charity wing Falah-i-Insaniat Foundation.

Earlier this week, the federal government added Hafiz Saeed’s JuD and its charity wing FiF into its list of proscribed organisations. The government had also taken Malauna Masood Azhar’s brother and son into “preventive custody for investigation”.

The ongoing operation against the proscribed organisations will continue till “achievement of objectives” under the National Action Plan (NAP) of 2014, Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi had tweeted, adding that efforts were being made to accelerate progress on NAP.
