Honda jacks up prices from Rs 100,000 to Rs 210,000 from Jan 2019

KARACHI: After increasing the exchanges rates in Pakistan, Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited has once again increased the prices upto Rs 50,000, 100,000 for November and December and Rs 100,000 to Rs 210,000 from January 1, 2019.
For the fourth time this year, the company in a notification to the dealers said that the company is compelled to increase the prices of Honda cars due to rising exchange rate. The current prices would be applicable from October 22, 2018.
October and November due delivery orders with partial payments will be delivered on Nov-Dec price, after the payment completion.
Now the Honda 1.8L VTI CVP would be available in sum of Rs 2.809 million from January 2019, which was available before today at Rs 2.599 million. Honda 1.8L VT SR CVT new price to be available in Rs 2.959 million from Rs 2.749 million. Honda 1.3L MT would be available at Rs 1.854 million from previous rate of Rs 1.729 million. Honda 1.3L AT new price is Rs 1.994 million from the previous price of Rs 1.869 million. BR-V SCVT would be available in Rs 2.484 million compared to its previous price of Rs 2.384 million.
Indus Motor Company (IMC) has ratcheted up the prices of its cars from Rs 50,000 to Rs 175,000 for November & December deliveries and Rs 100,000 to Rs 350,000 for January 2019 following the depreciation of the rupee last week.
The company added it would be absorbing 50% of the price hike for deliveries provisionally scheduled for November and December.
Indus Motor has hiked the prices by Rs 50,000 for Toyota Corolla XLI to Rs 1.944 million till December and it will see a further rise of Rs 50,000 in January to Rs 2.044 million.
For other Corolla variants, the prices have been increased in a range of Rs 50,000 to Rs 100,000, which will double by the beginning of January next year.
Whereas, the IMV-4 4×4 price has been raised by Rs 175,000 to Rs 6.624 million and it will get another equivalent increase to Rs 6.799 million by the beginning of January next year.
Also, prices of the other variants have also been increased in a range of Rs125,000-Rs150,000 and will double by January 2019.
Pak Suzuki is also planning to enhance the prices of its brand in Pakistan and it will announce the rate in next few days, the sources in Suzuki said.
