New record to off-load raw material made at KPT

KARACHI: Friends Corporation Stevedores (Pvt) Ltd has made a new record of unloading cargo in 24 hours at Karachi Port Trust (KPT) East Warf.
According to details, the company off-loaded 18,900 metric tons raw material in just 24 hours from the ship of EUROPA BAY at Karachi Port Trust (KPT) East Warehouse’s Berth No 11 and 12 with the help of Fatima Fertilizers and Pak Arab Fertilizers. This raw material was imported from Marrakesh.
The company has broken its own record of off-loading 16,900 metric tons in 24 hours.
Talking to newsmen, Muhammad Saleem Vohra, Chief Executive officers of Friends Corporation Stevedores (Pvt) Ltd, said the company has held a reception to celebrate new record. He said generally 5 to 6 thousand metric tons cargo is being off-loaded.
He said that remaining cargo would be off-loaded in next three to four days.
