1 min readLAHORE: No need to worry, lots of good news coming for Pakistan in the near future; the country has overcome the ‘crunch period’, said Asad Umer Finance Minister here on Friday.
In his informal talk with journalists after conclusion of first session of the NFC meeting in Lahore, the minister said Pakistan has seen-off the critical time and added citizens of Pakistan have not to worry anymore.
“Foreign investors are coming Pakistan with their investment”, he contented. Expressing his view point on the accountability of the corrupt elements, Umar said, “Whoever looted the national exchequer will have to face accountability.”
The finance minister said digging to find out oil and gas reserves in the sea near Karachi was underway and hoped for the ‘good news’ in this regard.
He said, “the people of Sindh should ask their chief executive the reason for not attending today’s meeting of the NFC.”
About non-presence of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, he said Sindh has shown its reservations on the National Finance Commission Award., he added.
