Pak rupee gains 50 paisas in interbank and kerb markets
1 min readKARACHI: The rupee continued its upward trend in the interbank market on Thursday and gained 50 paisas against the US dollar, dealers said.
The local currency is continuously in a gaining position for the last three days following the inflows of $1 billion each from UAE and Saudi Arab. The rupee is being traded at Rs 138.10 for buying and Rs 138.20 for selling in the interbank market, the dealers said.
In open currency market, the rupee also appreciated by 50-60 paisas against the dollar for buying and selling at Rs 137.80 and Rs 138.30 respectively, they said. While, the rupee maintained its position after gaining 50 paisas against the Euro yesterday for buying and selling and it closed at Rs 157.50 and Rs 159.00 respectively today in open market, they said.
