Pakistan’s coronavirus cases touch to 146 as 13 more people tested positive in Sindh
2 min readKARACHI: Pakistan’s tally of confirmed cases of the coronavirus has climbed to 182 after Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported at least 15 Covid-19 cases for the first time on Monday.
Sindh has reported the highest number of 146 coronavirus cases thus far, Murtaza Wahab spokesman of Sindh Government said.
The media coordinator to the Sindh health minister, Meeran Yousuf confirmed the total number of cases in the province has reached 146 after 15 more people returning from Taftan were tested positive for the disease this evening.
Earlier, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that at least 11 new people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Sindh and now the total number of positive cases in Sindh is 88 at afternoon.
The chief Minister said that 23 people had been tested by the Aga Khan Hospital, out of which 11 had tested positive and 12 were negative.
All patients had arrived in Sukkur from Taftaan and are now being kept in isolation, spokesperson for the Sindh government Barrister Murtaza Wahab said.
Provincial authorities on Monday confirmed 53 new cases of coronavirus in Sindh, pushing the number of confirmed cases in the province to 88 and the national tally to 106.
This is the single largest increase in novel coronavirus cases in the country as of today.
