KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will start selling of upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season-6 matches from the coming week, the sources inside PCB said.

The National Command Operation Center (NCOC) had already allowed the PCB to sell only 20 per cent capacity of the stadium to the general public owing the COVID-19 pandemic. If the situation remained under control during the matches, the capacity of tickets can be enhanced, the sources added

According to the source, tickets for the opening ceremony and Karachi matches would be sold in Karachi in the first phase, while the tickets of the scheduled league matches would be sold in Lahore in 2nd phase.

Later, the schedule for the sale of tickets for the play-off matches and final in Lahore will be released.

Meanwhile, a proposal to increase ticket prices for PSL matches is also under consideration, however, the final decision on ticket prices will be made in the next two to three days.

Tickets will be sold through a local courier company while a proposal to sell tickets online only is under consideration.

The official song for PSL 6 was also released yesterday. The anthem named ‘Groove Mera’ features Naseebo Lal, Aima Baig, and Young Stunners. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the anthem reflects the realities of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Note, the cricket extravaganza is about to start from February 20 with defending champions Karachi Kings taking on Quetta Gladiators in the opening fixture.
