Representatives of WMO meet PM, extends support for various sectors
2 min readISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday held a meeting with the delegation of World Memon Organization (WMO) led by CEO and President of ARY Network, Mr. Salman Iqbal.
Mr. Khan heaped praise on the services of Memon community in various sectors of the country and remarked contribution of the WMO for Pakistan as matchless.
The delegation was accorded warm welcome at the Prime Minister House upon their arrival. The delegation including, Chairman ARY Group, Haji Jan Muhammad and President WMO, Suleman Noor, felicitated Prime Minister for assuming charge of his office after winning the July 25 general elections.
“Memon community across the world wants to join hands with the incumbent set-up in order to achieve goals set by the government, the delegation told Mr. Khan.
The group also informed PM Khan about upcoming World Memon Convention to be held on November 1st in Karachi.
Mr Khan, while praising efforts of the Memon community, said: “You’ve been playing pivotal role for uplift of the country and guiding it run on the right path.”
Highlighting the investment of Memon community in fields of agriculture and food, the premier said ” We will take a leaf out of Memon community’s book to provide best services in the social sector.”
PM Khan assured the delegation of his cooperation in various sectors including education and health.
“Government is mulling over to built shelters for homeless on the government lands, and this project can be initiated from Karachi,” mentioned Mr. Khan.
On the occasion, the WMO delegation also offered to extend its support for the “Naya Pakistan Housing Program” which is aimed at building 5 million houses for the underprivileged section of the society.
