The petitioner Dr. Zahra Gauhar, had filed a constitutional petition about a year ago, alleging intentional fraud of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), who has allowed NBP Fund Management Limited , a non-banking finance company to use its similar name, logo and governmental premises.
The two-member bench of the Sindh High Court directed that “the Director FIA South Zone Karachi to review the complaint of the Petitioner and proceed in accordance with the law. Copy of this order shall be sent to the Director FIA, South Zone, Karachi.”
According to the Court’s order, “the main grievance of the petitioner is that she filed a complaint with the Director, FIA South Zone, Karachi for lodging FIR against responsible officers / officials of National Bank of Pakistan for letting ongoing government bank’s representation of three letters ‘NBP’ and premises alongwith exact similar looking roundel wheel LOGO for purpose of intentional financial fraud by way of impersonation.”

Due to this intentional fraud, admittedly investment of trillions of rupees of the investors were lost including losses to national exchequer.
