Indian govt confirms the Air Force strike in Kashmir

NEW DELHI: India’s Foreign Secretary VK Gokhale, Ministry of External Affairs has claimed that the Indian Air Force has only taken action against terrorists in Pakistani Kashmir in Balakot area killings hundreds of Fidais (terrorists), trainers through the strike.

The official said the camp was made on the hill top of the mountain in Kashmir but the Pakistan was not taking action against them despite the information. “The action was against the terrorists not for the army,” he added.

Addressing a press conference claimed, “the Indian Air Force has also jammed the Ridar system of the Pakistan’s security.

“Credible intel [intelligence] was received that JeM was planning more suicide attacks in India,” alleged the Indian official. “In the face of imminent danger, a preemptive strike became absolutely necessary.”

“Top commanders were eliminated in the strike,” he said, adding “the action took place just hours ago”.

The Indian Air Force carried out strikes on a terror camp across the Line of Control in the early hours today, according to reports. The strike was carried out at around 3:45 am, according to reports.

The Ministry of External Affairs of India has now confirmed the strike and 12 Mirage 2000 jets dropped 1,000 kg bombs on the terror camp, completely destroying it.

Sources told NDTV that the strikes were 100 per cent successful and went on exactly as planned.

The aircraft dropped 1,000 kg laser-guided bombs on a major terror camp across the Line of Control, completely destroying it, news agency ANI reported, quoting Air Force sources.
