Atlas Honda to launch new 125cc model for its bike lovers on January 4

KARACHI: Atlas Honda Company, a leading bike manufacturer in Pakistan, is going to launch a new model of 125cc model for its bike lovers on January 4, 2019,

The company has invited all the dealers from all over the country in the launching event in Royal Palm Golf and Country Club Lahore, the source said in Karachi. “The Honda Atlas will unveil the hike in the event,” the source claimed.

The company had already launched a bike in China, the source claimed adding that the same specification bike would be launched in Lahore with minor cosmetic changes. The company did not disclose the date of its availability for general public yet.

The company source also informed that the bike will be priced in between Rs 140,000-145,000.

After coming Yamaha 125 bike in Pakistan, the Honda Atlas was planning to capture the 125cc bike market in Pakistan. The company’s old 125cc bike category is already very popular in the market.

The Pak Suzuki had also displayed its GSX R 150cc Karachi Auto Show and the bike is expected to hit the market next year.

The company after devaluation of rupee against the dollar increased prices of its bikes in Pakistan. Honda has increased bike prices of all its units, even those that were produced under the former dollar rates.

Therefore, even though rupee has devalued, Atlas Honda is earning more by selling all its bikes even the older versions at a higher rate. So it seems that Honda is trying to make use of the current situation and increase prices on the pretext of rupee devaluation.
