In this regard, the negotiations between the commerce ministry and the Pakistan Banaspati Ghee Manufacturers (PBGM) succeeded on Saturday. The manufacturers are ready to cut the price of ghee by Rs 8-10 per kilogramme, he added.
The meeting observed that suspending ‘excel load policy’ has reduced delivery costs of ghee, and its benefit should go to the general public.
“In accordance with the commitment made with the premier, the price of ghee has been reduced,” Mr Dawood claimed.
