AGP Pharma embarks upon a game-changer strategy
KARACHI: The board of directors of AGP Limited Pakistan has authorized its management to enter into non-binding discussions, negotiations and arrangements and present the same to the board for their final consideration.
In a latest notification at PSX website, the Management of AGP has informed investors that its Board has authorized them to take decision related to business as a cornerstone to inorganic growth.
“The Board was briefed that the various inorganic growth and acquisition related investment opportunities are potentially available to the company. After deliberation, the Board authorized the company to evaluate these potential opportunities and conducted necessary feasibility studies, engage consultants, valuators and advisors as may be required from time to time,” the notice said.
However, the sources claimed that AGP limited Pakistan is going to acquire another Pharma company who are producing medicine for COVID-19. There was speculation at the stock market that AGP could acquire major stakes of a pharma which could be the real game-changer. In case, if that so will, the investor could witness a Pakistani Pharma player in international area in a most exquisite and distinct manner.
