Change lifestyle to deal with climate change, Governor Tessori

KARACHI: People have to change their lifestyle to deal with the climate changes in Pakistan as well as the world, said Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori adding that we are destroying our oceans by throwing thousands of tons of garbage daily.
Addressing a conference ‘Believers & Environment’ held at Governor House Karachi, Kamran Tessori said, “we are not only destroying our oceans but also killing marine life. The people must come forward to save not only the marine lives, but also our future climate.
On this occasion, well-known scholars Mufti Muhammad Umair, Mudasir Alam, Saba Sabir, Aqsa iqbal, besides Maleeha Abbas, Umbreen Bilal, Dr. Ansar Ali, Dr. Nasira Abid, Alia Saram Birni, Majda Raza, Muhammad Raza, Numan and others also spoke.
“Pakistan has all kind of natural resources including Gold, Copper, Coals and others, but we are asking our friendly countries for loans,” the Sindh Governor said. He said we have to choose right direction to come out from the economic challenges.
The governor claimed that only five percent people have made the hostage of 95 percent people of this country. Pakistan becomes the top country of worst affected countries of climate hit, he added.
The climate changes created a numbers of challenges for our country and there is a need a massive plantation, he said adding that every citizen should grow at least four plants in their areas.
He said that our governments are not emphasizing Islamic rules and regulations of cleanliness. The governments should change the education standard and including such an important issue of climate changes in the course at all levels, Mr Tessori said.
Mufti Mohammad Umair in his address informed the participants about climate change and the Islamic lifestyle. He said the Quran has given all line to save the climate on earth. It’s very simple to protect the climate by changing their lifestyle and keep cleanliness.
