KARACHI: The Karachi Tape-ball Premier League (KTPL) unveiled an exhilarating Season-3 with a grand trophy ceremony and drafting event at Karachi Expo Centre.
The prestigious occasion was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessouri, the Governor of Sindh.
Zohair Naseer, Chairman of KTPL, set the stage for the upcoming season with a welcoming address that resonated with enthusiasm and anticipation.
The event was further enriched by insightful speeches from cricket legends Javed Miandad, Haroon Rasheed and Mushtaq Muhammad, who shared their experiences and perspectives, adding an inspiring touch to the gathering.
A pivotal moment of the ceremony was the address by Chief Guest Kamran Khan Tessouri. His words carried significant weight, reflecting on the league’s impact on the cricketing landscape and emphasizing the importance of such sporting endeavors in Pakistan.
Diplomats from the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Russia, Angola, and South Sudan, along with sponsors, franchise owners, and members of the media graced the occasion. A significant highlight of the occasion was the unveiling of the KTPL Season 3 anthem, sung by the renowned artist Sahir Ali Bagga, adding a melodious touch to the festivities.
The league features eight teams, each supported by prominent entities: Clifton Popular, owned by Popular Group of Industries; Malir Malangs, owned by Zaffar Abbas, General Secretary, JDC; Johar Jawans, owned by M&P; DHA Dabanggs owned by DK Events; North Nawabs, owned by Saima Mall & Residency; Karachi Knights, owned by Commandant SSU; Gulshan Gohar, owned by Gohar Group of Companies; and Liyari Legends, owned by Haris Ali Mithani.
KTPL Season 3 is set to enthrall cricket enthusiasts with matches scheduled from December 1st to December 16th at the prestigious Moin Khan Cricket Academy, DHA. The league promises a captivating showcase of talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
