Pak Army responds: 7 Indian soldiers killed, 19 others injures

RAWALPINDI: Seven Indian soldiers were killed and 19 others injured when Pakistan Army responded to Indian aggression on the Line of Control, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Tuesday.

Indian forces suffered heavy damage during the cross border firing, resulting in destruction of their four check posts. The Pak Army s media wing stated that BSF personnel were continuously violating the LoC ceasefire from last 3 days.

Earlier on Monday night, three Pak Army soldiers laid their lives in the line of duty when Indian troops resorted to unprovoked fire in Rakhchakri , Rawalakot Sector along Line of Control( LOC). Subedar Muhammad Riaz resident of Jhang, Lance Havaldar Aziz Ullah from Noshero Feroz and Sepoy Shahid Mansib from Abbotabbad embraced Shahadat while one soldier got injured, ISPR said in a press reliese.

Earlier today, Corps Commanders Conference held at GHQ reiterated to continue its efforts for bringing enduring peace in the country while supporting all initiatives towards regional peace. The 220th Corps Commanders Conference was presided by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

The forum reviewed geo-strategic environment and ongoing situation along Eastern Border. Forum expressed strong will, resolve and determination to defend the motherland against any misadventure or aggression.

In a statement issued a day earlier, the ISPR said that the February 27 incident of Pakistan Army shooting down Indian aircraft is part of history now. He reiterated that no Pakistani F-16 was hit by Indian Air Force.

“Action was done by JF-17 from within Pakistan airspace. Later when 2 Indian jets crossed LOC, they were shot down by PAF,” the ISPR stated.

“Whether it was F16 or JF17 which shot down 2 Indian aircrafts is immaterial. Even if F-16 have been used as at that point in time complete PAF was airborne including F16s, the fact remains that Pakistan Air Force shot down two Indian jets in self-defense,” the statement asserted.

The ISPR further said that India can assume any type of their choice even F-16 and Pakistan retains the right to use anything and everything in its legitimate self-defense.
