Shah Rukh’s upcoming venture to be one of the biggest films this year

2 min read

Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming venture, Zero, is expected to be one of the biggest films this year. Helmed by Anand R Lai, the film has finally released its trailer – thanks to SRK’s birthday – and the three-minute clip promises a roller-coaster ride.

The trailer starts with SRK playing a dwarf named Bauua, who is 38 and is looking for a suitable match to tie the knot. He finds picture of Anushka Sharma, who plays Aafia. What Bauua won’t realise soon enough is that Aafia is a world famous scientist with cerebral palsy. Then Anushka’s first avatar is revealed and we are left speechless!

The Sultan star outdone herself as she looks completely in character, nailing one of the most challenging roles she’s even taken on. The story further evolves as Bauua tries to win Aafia and just as he manages to agree her to marry him, another twist comes in.

We see an alluring Katrina strut out of a car in a silver ensemble. Katrina’s on screen character bears similarities to her real life. She is seen playing a diva, who is stuck in dual world of glitz and glamour. The starlet is shown battling depression and addiction. Bauua somehow manages to meet Katrina – of whom he’s a huge fan – and two develop a relationship.

The trailer keeps the audience engaged and intrigued at the same time, but it’s quite evident that the makers have given too much away in the three-minute clip.

In the last scene, we see a rocket going off into space – which quite honestly, doesn’t really go with the rest of the trailer. We wonder what’s that about.

Apart from the three leads, Zero will feature a plethora of stars like Sridevi, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Karisma Kapoor making a cameo. The movie will also see Abhay Deol and R Madhavan in special appearances and Salman Khan in the much-awaited track with King Khan.

Zero is slated to release on Decemeber 21, 2018.
