Suitable environment to overseas for investment to be provided: Zulfiqar Bukhari
1 min readISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari on Sunday said under the leadership of the Prime Minister government is emphasizing on the provision of a suitable environment to overseas for investment in the country.
He said that overseas were the asset of the country and they always stood with country in its thick and thin but former regimes did not take any initiative for solving their problems.
Zulfiqar said PTI government would soon start fast-track courts to settle land-grabbing cases of Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs) as the government received a huge number of complaints regarding this.
He further said government would pass a legislation soon over the matter as overseas are the backbone of the country’s economy.
Bukhari said the Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF), which works under the banner of the Overseas Pakistanis Ministry, would be revamped to make it more effective.
“All the sick projects, started a decade ago, of OPF would be completed on priority basis as the work on the two projects has been started and the work on other projects would be started within three months adding all the projects would be completed in next two years”, he added. APP
