20 injured in a blast in Parachinar’s Torri Bazaar Peshawar

PARACHINAR: Around 20 people injured in a powerful bomb blasts at Torri Bazaar in Parachinar District on Thursday

The blast was heard in Torri Bazaar (market), where the groceries and vegetables shops were located and people were busy purchasing their routine goods.

Just after the explosion, law enforcing agencies and rescue teams reached the spot and started shifting injured people to nearby hospitals.

The law enforcing agencies have cordoned off the area and launched search operation.

Speaking to media, Parachinar DSP Najab Ali said that the cause of the explosion was an improvised explosive device (IED) that had been fitted inside a vegetable cart. The area is usually occupied by vegetable and fruit sellers, he said.
