KARACHI: Pakistan’s largest International Defence Exhibition IDEAS-2022 entered into the second consecutive day today (Wednesday) at Expo Centre Karachi. A large number of national and international visitors are arriving at the Exhibition.
Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa also visited Karachi today and witnessed various stalls at IDEAS-2022 at Karachi Expo Centre.
COAS also interacted with cross section of visitors and delegates and held separate meetings with various visiting delegates including Bahrain, Italy, Srilanka, Libya, Zimbabwe and UAE.
In the 11th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar IDEAS-2022, the modern defence artillery has been showcased including Armed Vehicles, Missiles, Tanks and Fighter Jets in nine halls of the Expo Center, Karachi. The four-day International Defence Exhibition will continue till November 18.
According to the media managers, the IDEAS-2022 exhibition has broken its all previous records in terms of attendance and booking. More than 522 diplomats from 52 countries and 285 delegations from 64 countries have participated in this exhibition.
Defence Export Promotion Organization has arranged the exhibition, which brings together defence industries from across the globe to showcase their latest technological innovations.
The visitors are showing keen interest in the sophisticated Fighter Jet JF-17 Thunder, Al-Khalid tank, the indigenously developed anti-ship cruise missile ‘Harba’ and other potent weapons. Furthermore, a separate hall has been allotted especially for Kashmir in IDEAS-2022.
The four-day International Defence Exhibition and Seminar IDEAS-2022 kicked off in Karachi on Tuesday under strict security measures. A large number of senior civil and military delegations and trade visitors attended the exhibition.
The general public would not be allowed in the exhibition.
The Indian fighter plane of Abhi Nandan, which was crushed in February 2019 in Pakistan, was also displayed in the exhibition.
