ISLAMABAD: Zong has launched Pakistan’s first 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) home broadband service, Z HomeFi, offering high-speed internet connectivity without the need for fibre installation or fixed-line infrastructure.

The company said the new service marks another milestone in Zong’s efforts to transform connectivity through technology-led services and bring next-generation 5G technology directly into Pakistani homes.

Z HomeFi provides households with a flexible and convenient broadband experience through a simple plug-and-connect setup. The service eliminates the need for fibre installation, fixed-line infrastructure and complex installations while offering high-speed and reliable connectivity.

The service is currently available in Pakistan’s top 10 cities and can be subscribed to exclusively through Zong’s Customer Service Centres. The company plans to expand availability to its franchises in the future.

Z HomeFi offers 12 prepaid bundles, with internet speeds ranging from 10 Mbps to 50 Mbps and monthly data allowances from 100 GB to 500 GB.

The monthly packages are priced between Rs4,500 and Rs11,000, inclusive of taxes, catering to different household budgets and internet requirements.

According to Zong, the packages are designed to meet a range of digital needs, including everyday browsing, video streaming, remote working, online learning and other internet-based activities.

The service uses 5G indoor Customer Premises Equipment (CPE), which is priced at Rs22,000 and allows customers to set up the connection through a simple plug-and-connect process.

Zong said the launch reinforces its role as a technology enabler of Digital Pakistan by combining its network, digital platforms and intelligent capabilities to develop services aimed at creating greater customer value.

Commenting on the launch, Zong Head of Marketing Sajid Munir said the true value of technology was measured by how it improved people’s everyday lives.

“With Z HomeFi, we are bringing 5G technology directly into Pakistani homes, giving customers a reliable and convenient broadband experience without the complexity of fibre installation or fixed-line infrastructure,” he said.

Munir said the service would provide households with greater flexibility and seamless access to digital services, whether for learning, working, streaming, creating content or staying connected.

Zong said Z HomeFi also brings its brand promise of “Aisa Hai Future” to life by extending advanced 5G technology into homes.

The company said the service would contribute to a more connected, inclusive and future-ready Pakistan by making next-generation home broadband accessible to a wider range of consumers.

With the launch of Z HomeFi, Zong has positioned its 5G Fixed Wireless Access technology as an alternative to traditional fixed-line broadband, particularly for households seeking high-speed connectivity without fibre installation.
