Apple to launch iPhone 12, New IPad and AirPower wireless charging mat on Sept 8
2 min readApple is going to launch its IPhone 12 on September 8 after multiple reports of delay in its launch due to COVID-19.
But according to a new tip, Apple is on track to launch the new iPhone 12 series as scheduled.
Apple is reportedly hosting its iPhone launch event on September 8. Here, Apple will launch the iPhone 12 series, a new Apple Watch, new iPad and possibly the AirPower wireless charging mat as well. This information comes from tipster iHacktu Pro who revealed it on Twitter. It will be a virtual one much like the WWDC 2020.
The lineup for the Apple launch isn’t really surprising and it’s quite routine for Apple. The surprising addition here though is the AirPower wireless charging mat. Apple never launched the AirPower after unveiling it in 2017. But we have been hearing about the AirPower from tipster Jon Prosser who even shared photos of the wireless charging mat. The reworked AirPower is also capable of charging the Apple Watch. Looks like the AirPower isn’t dead after all.
The highlight of the event would undoubtedly be the new iPhones. Apple is expected to launch four new iPhones this year and all four of them will have support for 5G. There could be an LTE version of the iPhone 12 as well. The new smartwatch would be the Apple Watch Series 6, and there’s a new iPad expected as well.
Apple reportedly has another event scheduled for October 27 where it is said to launch a new iPad Pro, its silicon-powered MacBooks and maybe even the Apple Glass.
