Hum Network Ltd postpones election of directors
1 min readKARACHI: The Hum Network Ltd Friday postponed the election of seven directors to be held on August 22 following the order of the Sindh High Court passed on August 21.
The Hum Network announced it through a notice at Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The company said, “this is to notify that as informed by our legal counsel that the Honourable Sindh High Court through Order dated: 21.08.2020, passed in High Court Appeal No. 155 of 2020 [Shahid Hussain Jatoi and another vs. Mrs. Mahtab Akbar Rashdi and others], has stayed the Election of Directors (i.e. Agenda Item No. 2 of the Notice of the EOGM dated: 24.07.2020) to be held tomorrow, i.e. 22.08.2020.”
It further said that once we receive the written Order dated: 21.08.2020, we will place the said Order of the Sindh High Court before the members in the EOGM tomorrow which will be held according to the schedule except the following agenda of the Notice of the EOGM dated: 24.07.2020:
“To elect Seven (7) Directors of the Company as fixed by the Board of Directors in their meeting held on July 17, 2020, in accordance with Section 159(1) of the Companies Act, 2017 for a period of three years, commencing from August 22, 2020,” it added.
