Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Rashakai will be 2nd Special Economic Zone after Faisalabad under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
Addressing the participants after inking an agreement to make Rashakai into an Economic Industrial Zone on Monday, the Prime Minister said that Rashakai will prove to be a milestone in the development of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Imran said that K-P has taken lead in poverty alleviation which is a welcoming sign.
Earlier, CPEC Chairman Asim Saleem Bajwa said China Road and Bridge Construction Company is the development partner with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government for Rashakai project. He said this will accelerate industrialization in Pakistan.
The Rashakai Special Economic Zone project is a flagship project of the current government for the development, prosperity and economic growth of the province. With the establishment of the economic zone, thousands of new employment opportunities would be created in K-P.
