PSX’s Stockbrokers Ass condemns SECP, says it never avoids FATF compliance

KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) brokers Association strongly condemns the vicious campaign in press, started by certain quarters that the hue and cry in the brokerage Industry, is due to the fact that Stockbrokers want to shirk their responsibilities towards FATF/AML/CFT, a statement of the association said here on Saturday.
Our industry being documented to the hilt, FATF compliance have never been an issue for us, it added.
The real issue is the path of destruction of the Brokerage Industry and the Capital Market, on which the vested interest, is trying to put the Regulator, the association claimed.
