Riazuddin says matric exams to begin from March 16 in Karachi

KARACHI: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) will conduct matric exams as per schedule from March 16.
According to Secretary Boards and Universities Riazuddin, the matric exams in Karachi will begin as per schedule on March 16.
He went on to say that schools are closed due to coronavirus concerns, therefore, providing admit cards to the students would be ensured timely.
Schools in Sindh have been directed to remain closed till March 13 to ensure that “the isolation period of the suspected cases could be completed”, Saeed Ghani, the provincial education minister, said Monday.
The Sindh government’s decision to shut down educational institutes was aimed at preventing the coronavirus from spreading in the city. “We don’t want to take any risk,” Ghani added.
