FIA registers case against former CEO-PIA Bernd Hildenbrand
Appointment of Austrian national Helmut Bechhofner as consultant to CEO in PIA was illegal. He was appointed by the former CEO Bernd Hildenbrand
KARACHI: Corporate Crime Circle (CCC) of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Karachi has registered an FIR against former acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bernd Hildenbrand of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Helmut Bechhofner, who was appointed as a consultant to CEO during 2016.
According to the FIR, the appointment of Austrian national Helmut Bechhofner as consultant to CEO in PIA was illegal. He was appointed by the former CEO Bernd Hildenbrand. Because of this act, there was a loss of Rs $50,204 to national exchequer through PIA. The FIA was conducing investigation of this case.
