PIA to fly Kandahar and Mazar Shareef Afghanistan

KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plans to expand its network in Afghanistan, increase air cargo business.

CEO PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik made an official visit to Kabul on Tuesday, a PIA’s statement said.

He met with Government officials, Afghan Aviation Head, Dr Qasim Wafaizada and discussed avenues for increasing air links between Pakistan and Afghanistan for the National Flag Carrier, PIA.

The National Flag Carrier PIA has requested for flights to /from Kandahar and Mazar Shareef and is exploring avenues for increasing air cargo operations.

CEO PIA also met with officials of Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He also visited Pakistan Embassy in Kabul and met with Pakistan’s Ambassador   H.E. Mansoor Ahmed, Consul General and officials of Pakistan Embassy. CEO PIA also requested for swift guaranteed visa for PIA Passengers coming to Pakistan.
