FIA arrests three accused of Hawala and Hundi network

KARACHI: Corporate Crime Circle (CCC) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested three accused allegedly involved in Hawala and Hundi network in Karachi which was operating in interior Sindh and Balochistan.

According to details, the FIA team raided a flat in Royal Residency located in Dawood Pota Road Karachi and seized mobiles, laptops of accused Abdul Fatah who was owner of Hawala Hundi company in Karachi. The FIA team also arrested Abdul Fatah and his two employees Syed Javed Ali and latif Dino Lakho.

According to the FIR, accused Abdul Fatah voluntarily disclosed that he is running a Hawala-Hundi network throughout Sindh and out of the province as well from Karachi.

The accused further disclosed that accused Syed Javed Ali and accused Latif Dino Lakho are his associates and actively involved in illegal business of Hawala/Hundi. Accused brother Waheed Ali is also involve in the illegal business.

The accused Abdul Fatah has also linked with 14 accused in Dubai, who were collecting money from Dubai and UAE and send money in accounts of Abdul Fatah.

FIR also claimed that accused were running 6 different Benami Accounts in Karachi and interior Sindh.

The FIA teams  have started further investigation of the Hawala Hundi network and are conducting raids to arrest the remaining accused nominated in the FIR.
