Karim Gabol says ‘he was kidnapped by PPP’

KARACHI: Sindh Assembly turned into a battleground as PTI lawmakers beat up ‘rebel’ party members during an assembly session on Tuesday.

Clash between PPP and PTI members start when a missing MPA of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Karim Bakhsh Gabol brought into the Assembly session from PPP’s entrance. He was with PPP members.

Karim Gabol said in the assembly that “I was kidnapped by the PPP members and my support is still with the PTI in Senate election.” PTI members rushed towards him to know real incident of his missing on which PPP members started beating PTI members in Sindh Assembly.

PTI lawmakers in the SA beaten up “rebel” party members during the session as they had refused to vote for PTI candidates in Senate elections.

Three MPAs, Aslam Abro, Shehryar Shar and Karim Bakhsh Gabol, had earlier announced that they will vote as per their aspirations. When the “rebel” PTI members entered the Sindh Assembly, they were attacked by PTI MPAs, resulting in chaos.

PPP members also got involved to disengage the fighting. The assembly turned into a wrestling ring.

However, the Khurram Sher Zaman and others PTI members got release Gabol from the PPP’s MPAs and left the assembly hall immediately.

Aslam Abro and shehryar Shar spoke to the media that they have made it clear to everyone that they will not vote along the party lines. He alleged that Senate tickets were sold and that they do not agree with the selection of Saifullah Abro and Faisal Vawda.

“We were not kidnapped,” he said.

On Monday, the local PTI leadership had accused the PPP of pressuring their members to win the upcoming Senate elections.

Karachi PTI President Khurram Sher Zaman alleged that their lawmakers were kidnapped and they were no more in contact.

The sources in the assembly claimed that Aslam Abro and Shehryar Shar of the PTI were also sitting in the assembly on opposition benches with PTI but after this incident, they left the assembly hall and went with the PPP members.

In a press conference at Assembly Hall, Haleem Adil said that we will register FIR against missing MPAs who were forcefully abducted by PPP’s members.
