PCB chairman meets on CEO PIA
KARACHI: A delegation of PCB led by Ehsan Mani, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board called on CEO PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik at PIA Head Office.
Ehsan Mani, Chairman PCB discussed about the initiatives and reforms presently taken for the betterment of domestic cricket in Pakistan. He also apprised about the ongoing cricket season titled Quaid-e Azam trophy which commenced from 14th September 2019 and discussed wide range of opportunities for PIA to join hands with PCB in promoting Domestic Cricket in Pakistan.
He urged upon PIA to support PCB especially in developing the new region based structure. CEO PCB Waseem Khan, Chief Commercial Officer Babar Hameed, Director Operations Haroon Rashid and Usman were also in PCB delegation. PCB officials showed their interest in mutual cooperation between both national organizations.
CEO PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik said that PIA has always played an active role in the promotion of sports and in particular Cricket in Pakistan. PIA cricket academy is providing training to aspiring young cricketers who want to become world class cricketers. He said that both PIA and PCB are the national prides and we will provide every possible support to PCB in promoting domestic cricket in Pakistan. Director Corporate Governance PIA, Muhammad Shuaib, Chief Commercial Officer PIA Nausherwan Adil were also present during the meeting.
